Lena Scrivani, 87, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13th, 2018 at O.L.P Nursing Care Residence. Born in Central City, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Angelo C. and Lena (Barrecca) Rizzo.

Lena was raised in Pennsylvania and moved to Niagara Falls as a teenager with her family. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On July 25, 1953, she married her high school sweetheart, John A Scrivani, at Mt. Carmel Church. Mr. Scrivani predeceased her on May 17, 2014 after 60 cherished years together.

Lena was employed as the manager of DuPont Credit Union for over 27 years prior to her retirement from the former Spirella Clothing Store in Niagara Falls. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to many places throughout the world including Italy, Mexico and Hawaii. They also spent the many winter seasons together in Las Vegas, NV. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning the house and spending time with her family.

Above all, Lena's greatest passion in life was to be a devoted wife and mother. She was the caretaker of the family and will be deeply missed.

Lena is survived by two daughters, Carla (Leo Sliski) Scrivani and Paula Scrivani-Phillips; and was predeceased by one daughter, Denise Scrivani-Furiosi. She is also survived by her grandchildren, James (Candice) Furiosi and Nicholas (Heather) Phillips; great-grandchildren, Cody, Colin, Jacob, Kaiden and Kryslinn; siblings Frances (late Stanley) Koshinski, Verna (late Biagio) Grossi; Mary Ann (late Douglas) Pike; Dominic "Mickey" (Gilda) Rizzo, Selma (late Hamish) Hamilton and Joseph (Maria) Rizzo; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by siblings Anthony (late Thelma) Rizzo, Angelo (late Rose) Rizzo, Samuel Rizzo, Nancy (late Dominic) Farbo and Adelphine (late Tony) Mastrolembo; her infant siblings, Saviero and Adolph Rizzo; and her husband's parents, John A. and Elda Scrivani.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 16th from 3:30 – 7 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. in Holy Family Parish at Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery to follow.
