Lenny D. Breeden, 80, of Sanborn, New York, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026, at Schoellkopf Health Center, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late L.D. and Christine (Mess) Breeden Guard; step-son of the late Herbert Guard; and the beloved husband of the late Cynthia A. (Brueckman) Breeden, who he married on March 23, 1973.

After graduating from Trott Vocational High School, Lenny served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge. He went on to work for the New York State Power Authority in Lewiston, NY as a machinist. His free time was spent fishing on his boat, building and flying RC airplanes, and tackling various woodworking projects. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Lenny is survived by his children, Lenny (Billie) Breeden, Jeremy (Krysta) Breeden, and Joy (Matthew Baron) Breeden; his special sister-in-law, Pamela (Emily Moser) Brueckman; grandchildren David, Josh, Mackenna, Rowan, Cooper, Charlie, and Thia; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he is predeceased by his brother, James (late Sandra) Breeden.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24 from 1- 4 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road Niagara Falls, NY 14304, where services with military honors will be held at 4:00 PM. Lenny will be interred privately at the Western New York VA National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
