LeRoy W. Wagner, 89, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026, at Elderwood of Wheatfield. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of George Wagner and Ruth (Hornish) Wagner. 

In 1955, LeRoy enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country until his honorable discharge and transfer into the United States Army Reserves. His commitment to his fellow servicemen continued throughout his life as he remained active with the local veterans’ post in Niagara Falls.

On May 2, 1959, LeRoy married the love of his life, Joanne (Zacher) Wagner, with whom he shared 63 years of devotion and partnership until her passing in 2022. LeRoy began his career at Moore Business Forms and later joined the Tulip Corporation (formerly Prestolite), where he worked as a supervisor before retiring in 1997. 

A lifelong sports enthusiast, LeRoy gave generously of his time as a volunteer and coach for Hyde Park Little League and enjoyed golfing. He bowled and played softball in several local leagues, and was a member of the Prestolite Company team during his time working for the company. LeRoy was also a loyal Buffalo Bills fan through every high and low. He found joy in his long walks around Hyde Park. 

Above all, LeRoy cherished the time spent with his family. His greatest happiness came from the memories made with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who brought him endless pride and joy. 

LeRoy is survived by his children, Diana (John) Locey of Lowell, MA, Cindy (Mark) O’Keefe of Chelmsford, MA, Roy (Michelle) Wagner of Ransomville, NY and George (Kerry) Wagner of Apollo Beach, FL; his cherished grandchildren, Andrew Locey, Jessica (Christopher Cunha) Locey, Samantha (Sean) Pappagallo, Megan O’Keefe, Patrick (James Roy) Wagner, Erin (Brian Duffy) O'Keefe, Connor O’Keefe, Keely Wagner, Haley Wagner and Jack Wagner; his beloved great-grandchildren, Ella, Eli and Emi Pappagallo; one sister, Beverly (late Obra) Harold, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by three siblings, Emma (late Daniel) Cavaleri, Leo (late Cheryl) Wagner and Barbara Cooper. 

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 31 from 10 - 11:30 AM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 11:30 AM. Military honors and entombment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
