Lillian (D'Andrea) DeMarchi, 95 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away Saturday July 2, 2011 in Newfane Healthcare Facility, Newfane, NY. Born in Williamsburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Angela (Martini) D'Andrea.
Lillian moved to Niagara Falls with her family at the age of 11. She attended local schools and graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School in 1932. On April 17, 1937 she married Mario DeMarchi in Niagara Falls, NY. Lillian along with her husband owned and operated Mario's Grill in Niagara Falls originally located on Hyde Park Blvd. and later Lockport Road. Mr. DeMarchi predeceased her in December of 1975. Lillian enjoyed cooking, reading, embroidery and knitting. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family especially her many nieces and nephews.
Lillian is survived by her one daughter, Claudia (Edward) Konecki of Niagara Falls, NY, one sister Zenia (late Paul) Schiro of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, one great-great nephew and one great-great niece. In addition to her husband, she was also predeceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Joseph (late Esther) Taddie, Arnold (late Mary) D'Andrea, Sylvia (late Joseph) Metro and Inez (Anthony of Niagara Falls, NY) Caraglin.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3-7 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY RD NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held Wednesday July 6th at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in memory of Lillian to a charity of one's choice.
