Linda S. Fending, 73, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 6, 2024. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Mary (Boal) Prue.

Linda attended local schools and graduated from Niagara-Wheatfield High School. On October 5, 1968 she married the love of her life, Thomas M. Fending Sr. at St. Leo's Church.

Linda worked as a Central Service Technician at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for several years. She was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Leo's Church and their Altar and Rosary Society. She actively served as a volunteer in various roles while her children attended Niagara-Wheatfield Central School District schools. She was also a former Cub Scout leader, and received the Unit Leader Award of Merit for her outstanding service. Above all, Linda cherished the time spent with her beloved family who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her husband of 55 years, Linda is survived by her children, Brian (Rachel) Fending and Thomas M. Fending Jr.; her grandchildren, Norah and Liam Fending; one sister, Judith (late Richard) Sirianni; her special nephews, Ted (Angie) Bauer and Daniel (Kim) Fending, as well as several other nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by three siblings, Arlene (late Frederick) Bauer, Phyllis (late Donald) Fending and Dorothy (late Lewis) Laurie.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 10 from 10 – 12 Noon at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY where funeral services will begin at 12 Noon. Interment will be held privately in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial offerings in Linda's name may be made to The American Heart Association at heart.org.
