Linda Louise
Locatelli
d. Jun 21, 2026
Linda Louise Locatelli, 80, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Niagara Falls, New York, Linda was the daughter of the late Ida Louise Hahn and Joseph Willis Hahn. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, James Willis Hahn.
Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, John Locatelli; her sister, Joanne (Tom) Kearney; her children, Jeanine (Doug) Wisor, Carrie (Shane) Pierce, and Paul (Traci) Scaletta; her step-sons, Carlo (Sarah) Locatelli and Nathan (Catherine) Locatelli; her sister-in-law, Pat Hahn; and her brother-in-law, Renzo Locatelli.
She was a proud and loving grandmother to Pilar, Peyton, Elise Wisor, Alexis, Devyn, Shane Joseph Pierce, and Paul Joseph Scaletta, Jr. Linda is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Linda shared a loving marriage with John, who was far more than a husband. During her courageous battle with cancer, he was her greatest source of strength and comfort. His unwavering devotion, extraordinary care, and selfless love carried her through her most difficult days. Though not the biological father of her children, John became an important and cherished member of the entire family. Affectionately known as "Nono" to the grandchildren, he is deeply loved and respected by all who know him.
Linda earned her Associate's Degree from Bryant & Stratton College and spent her professional career working as an Administrative Assistant for Bell Aerospace and later the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA). She retired in 2008, but retirement simply gave her more time to enjoy the things she loved most.
In her younger years, Linda spent ten years figure skating and even performed for two years with the Canadian Ice Follies, an experience she fondly remembered throughout her life.
Linda found joy in life's simple pleasures: tending to her flowers, camping with family, playing bingo, and trying her luck at the slot machines whenever she had the chance. She took great pride in her home, where each season’s colorful blooms reflected the warmth, beauty, and care she shared so generously with family and friends.
Camping was one of Linda’s greatest pleasures. She enjoyed many happy years at Shalamar and later continued making memories with John in their fifth-wheel camper. Winters often brought trips to Florida to visit her son Paul and his family. Other times she could be found in Virginia, making memories with Jeanine, Carrie, and their families.
A devoted Buffalo Bills fan, Linda’s loyalty to her team never wavered. She proudly attended a Super Bowl and, during her battle with cancer, was thrilled to attend the Bills' Divisional Round playoff game in 2025—one more cherished memory in a life filled with them.
Though not Italian by birth, Linda wholeheartedly embraced the traditions of the family she married into. Her grandchildren affectionately called her “Grandma Marshmallow,” and everyone agreed that no one could make meatballs quite like Grandma Marshmallow.
But if there was one place that truly held Linda's heart, it was her beloved home along the shores of Lake Erie. There, she and John found their own slice of heaven – a place filled with sunsets, laughter, family gatherings, lifelong friendships, and countless treasured memories. It was where Linda was happiest, surrounded by the people she loved most.
Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the countless memories shared with those who loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Family and friends will be invited to gather, share stories, and honor a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
In true Linda fashion, we hope there will be good food, plenty of stories, lots of laughter, and maybe even a few Buffalo Bills conversations – exactly as she would have wanted.
