Linda A. Stamborski, 76, of Largo, FL and formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2024 at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Adolphine 'Del' (Rizzo) Mastrolembo; and the beloved wife of Edward Stamborski.
Linda was raised in Niagara Falls where she graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1965. She worked for several credit unions throughout Niagara Falls including the former Hooker Chemical Company and DuPont prior to owning and operating the Little Friends Home Day Care for 12 years.
Linda and her husband, Ed moved to Florida in the mid-1990s. She worked at the Pinella's County Sheriff's Department in fiscal affairs, and later retired as Coordinator of the Child Care Collation.
Linda enjoyed spending time at the beach, shopping, going to the casino and horse track. She was also an excellent cook and enjoyed cleaning the house. Above all, she valued the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by her children, Frank (Renee) Granto, Mark (fiancé Kathryn) Granto, Christina (Christopher) Taylor and step children Ed Stamborski Jr. and Karla (Anthony) Stranges; her grandchildren, Frank Granto Jr., Kara Laetsch, Carter, Capri, Cross, and Christian Taylor and was sadly predeceased by her granddaughter, Kayla Stamborski. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Giavana, Grey, Veyda, Benjamin, Landon and Preston; her brother, Anthony J. (LuAnn) Mastrolembo, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Friday, September 6 from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Linda's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 AM in St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Memorial offerings may be made to the American Heart Association.
