Lisa I. (Silvestri) Turck, 43 of Grand Island, NY passed away on Friday October 14, 2011 at her home while under the care of Hospice Buffalo. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Costantino and Ginerva 'Gina' Silvestri of Niagara Falls, NY.
Lisa attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Catholic High School. Afterwards she attended the State University of New York at Buffalo where she earned her bachelor degree in accounting. On October 15, 1994, she married John A. Turck at St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls. Following her marriage, Lisa and her husband John moved to Boston, MA where she worked as an accountant for State Street Bank. They would later move back to the area and settle in Grand Island. For a short time, Lisa worked as a compliance officer for M & T Bank in Buffalo, NY. Lisa was a member of W.O.W. (Women of the Word) interdenominational Bible study group in Grand Island. She was passionate about exercising and enjoyed cooking. Lisa's greatest pleasure came from her family.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lisa is survived by her two daughters, Olivia Joyce Turck and Natalie Ginerva Turck, and her sister Nancy (Joseph) Gadawski of Grand Island, NY. She was the daughter-in-law of the late John and Joyce Turck, sister-in-law of, Susan and Tom Beylo, Linda and Daniel Dunlap, Robert Turck, David Turck, late Jack Turck, and late Jody Turck, beloved aunt of, Joseph and Daniel Gadawski, Tom, Mike, Rebecca and Lisa Beylo, Miranda, Jenna and Daniel Dunlap, Taylor Turck, Jack Turck and David Turck. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI AND SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday October 19th at St. Stephen Church, 2100 Baseline Rd. Grand Island, NY at 10:00 a.m. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery Niagara Falls, NY.
