Lorraine Hofstede, 82, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 in Niagara Hospice House. Born in Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Purcell and Dorothy (Bowerman) Siracusa.

Lorraine was raised in Yonkers, NY where she was self-employed as a Nanny for several families. In 2000, she moved with her daughter, Tara, and son-in-law, Lawrence to Texas, where Lawrence was stationed while serving in the United States Army. In 2006, she moved to Niagara Falls with her family, who she devoted her life to. Lorraine especially cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandson.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Tara (Lawrence Votee) Hofstede; grandchildren, Darien Votee, Angelina (Marcus Wheatley) Votee; great-grandson, Leo Wheatley; her brother Salvatore Siracusa, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two siblings, Eileen McGrath and Raymond Siracusa.
