Lottie Daniels, 87, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 27, 2021 in Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Brantley, AL she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Rosie Bell (Upton) Daniels.
Lottie graduated from high school in Brantley, AL before moving to Niagara Falls, NY in the 1950's. She began working as a nurse's aide at various health care facilities in the area. In 1967 Lottie became employed by Hi-Way Garden Center in Amherst, NY, where she enjoyed assisting and socializing with her customers prior to retiring in 2014.
Lottie was a devout Christian and enjoyed reading the bible, as well as listening to Gospel music. She also loved watching soap operas and completing crossword puzzles. Above all, Lottie centered her life around her beloved family.
Lottie is survived by her son, Derrick (April) Daniels, and was sadly predeceased by three children, Oliver Daniels, U.S. Marines, James (Lillian) Marvin Daniels, U.S. Army, Connie Elliott, and her dear grandson, Elijah Little. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins; her special friend Albert (Katherine) Tyson and Missionary Emma Carter.
She was also predeceased by her sister, Mother Ruby Pearl Bumpas and her brothers, Willie-Fred, Houston, Charles, Joe, Billy, and Judge Daniels; and her sisters Lizzie Wilkerson, Nealie Brundige, Annie Rodgers, Ethel Washington and Helen Daniels.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 5 from 11 – 12 Noon at New Jerusalem Life Church, 2723 20th Street, Niagara Falls, NY, 14305, where funeral services will begin at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
