Lottie (Mikolajczyk) Janik, 92, of Tonawanda, NY died on Tuesday March 17, 2009 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Buffalo, NY she was the daughter of the late Ignatius and Martha Mikolajczyk. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Janik.
Lottie attended school in Buffalo where she lived until moving to the Niagara Falls area twenty five years ago. In her leisure time she enjoyed reading and crocheting.
Lottie is survived by two children Margaret (Michael) Reele and David (Elaine) Janik, three grandchildren David (Nikki) Janik, Jr.; Brian Janik and Eric (Jenna) Janik, three great grandsons Sean, Oliver and Athan Janik and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister Sophie Trzcinski and one brother Norman Mikolajczyk.
Lottie was a dear friend of Louie and Patty Sciarrino and family and thought of their children Janelle, Marc, Dominic and Maria Sciarrino, whom she knew from the day they were born, as her adopted grandchildren. She was also a good friend of Emma Siracuse and enjoyed getting together every Tuesday to play cards with her.
Private services were held at the convenience of the family. Entombment in St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Cheektowaga, NY. Flowers are gratefully declined.
