Louis A. DiStefano, 89, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada he was the son of the late Antonio and Rosina (Ferrara) DiStefano.

On September 23, 1967 he married Edythe "Edie" F. (Leturneau) DiStefano in Niagara Falls, NY. Mrs. DiStefano predeceased him on March 13, 2001. Louie was the president and owner of Cataract Steel, Inc. in Niagara Falls, NY. In his leisure time he enjoyed traveling and especially loved spending time at his home in Phoenix, Arizona.

Louis is survived by one daughter Laura (James) Truax of Murrieta, CA; several nieces, nephews and cousins and many dear friends. He was predeceased by four brothers John DiStefano, Michael DiStefano, Joseph DiStefan, Patrick DiStefano and three sisters Elizabeth Manente, Laura LaVigna and Angela DiStefano.

Visitation will be on Friday from 2 – 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY concluding with a funeral service at 9:30 a.m. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Vincent DePaul at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Robert Stolinski officiating. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Mr. DiStefano's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
