Obituary

Louis A. Frattaroli, 83, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Brookdale Assisted Living in North Tonawanda, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Joseph and Louise (Cicerone) Frattaroli.

Louie, as he was known to everyone, was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. He attended local schools and graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School. He served in the United States Army from March 12, 1954 until his honorable discharge on March 9, 1956. On June 1, 1975 he married Ramona (Attfield) Frattaroli at St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls. Mrs. Frattaroli predeceased him on May 30, 1988. Following his retirement Louie continued working as a funeral assistant for the M.J. Colucci and Son Funeral Chapel in Niagara Falls. Lou was a longtime and active member of the I.S.D.A. Volare Lodge, St. Joseph's Church and Assembly Athletic Club all in Niagara Falls. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Lewiston, NY. Louie enjoyed traveling especially to Florida during the winter months, and in his younger years was an avid golfer. He was also an excellent cook and particularly loved making sausage and soppressata with his son. Louie loved his neighbors and was always ready to lend a helping hand whenever needed. He was best known for his outgoing and witty personality. But most of all, Louie was extremely proud of his family and loved spending time with them.

Louis is survived by his son Jim (Lisa Damone-Attfield) Attfield of the Town of Niagara, NY, two grandchildren Matthew Attfield and Caitlin Attfield; three step-grandchildren, Nina, Francesco and Gino Scalzo; four sisters, Mary (late Frank) Lipiano, Josephine (Joseph) Renda, Lena (late Edward) Edukonis all of Niagara Falls, NY and Caroline Frattaroli of Cleveland, TN, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
