Louis Mathews, Jr., 47, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 4 in his Niagara Falls residence. Born in Niagara Falls he was the beloved son of the late Louis, Sr. and Audrey Loretta Matthews.

Louis graduated from LaSalle High School in 1991 and obtained his degree in Computer Science from Niagara University. He was a devoted employee of UPS in Niagara Falls, as a delivery driver for the past 28 years. He was also a 27 years member of the Local 449 Teamster's Union.

Lou was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, as well as spending time with cherished friends and family. He also loved being with his beloved dog, Precious who will miss him dearly.

Lou's unforgettable sense of humor, laughter and loudness will never be forgotten.

Louis is survived by his siblings, Bonita (Christopher) Simmons; Iaisha Matthews and Gillian (Alton Purvis) Cantey; his cherished daughter, Izabella Empson, and her mother, Cassandra Empson; his aunts and uncles, Pamela Young, Wayne Young, Annie Williams, Maggie Davis-McCaster, Brenda (late Donald) McCaster, Pamela (late Aubrey) McCaster, Teresa (Willie) Matthews, Thomas (Marie) McCaster, Tonya (Herman) Richards, Otis Williams, Jerry Ellison, and was predeceased by his aunts and uncles, Sharon Bennett, Pearl Williams, John McCaster and Fred McCaster, as well as his cherished grandmothers, Christine Matthews, Genevieve Young and grandfather, William Young, whom he loved and missed dearly. Lou is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Brandon, Frederick, Christina, Viola, Kierra, Mercedez, Renaijah, Kennadi and Nyeem; and countless friends and co-workers.
