Louis J. Nudo, 95, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2023. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Jack and Vincenzina Nudo.

Lou graduated from Niagara Falls High School and enlisted in the United States Navy during World War II. Upon his honorable discharge in 1947, he returned home and began working at Wendt's Dairy. He then was employed by the New York State Department of Transportation for many years until his retirement.

On June 12, 1954, he married his loving wife, Josephine (Sorrentino) Nudo at St. Mary's Church in Welland, Ontario. Josephine predeceased him on April 9, 2014 after 59 memorable years together.

Lou was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills, and enjoyed spending time at the horse races, bowling, shopping, as well as collecting numerous coins, stamps and other commemorative items. Above all, Lou cherished the time spent with his beloved family.

Lou is survived by his daughters, Catherine (late John) Walaszek and Vincenette (late Richard) Nudo Frazier; two granddaughters, Jennifer (Jesse) Clyde and Nicollette (Joseph) Kempa; four great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jaxon 'Dude', Joey and Lukas; his sister, Anne (late Frank) DiMatteo; his sister-in-law, Rosemary (Tony) Fera; and his special nieces, Maria (Tony) Sicurella and Darlene (Tony) Bagneschi; as well as many other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Emil Nudo, Yolanda (late Dr. Joseph) Principe, Margaret (late Jim) Ciadella, Connie (late Nick) Pugliese and Tony (late Cathy) Nudo.

Visitation will be Friday, October 20 from 10 – 11 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301, where his Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM. Military honors and entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
