Louis J. Pirinelli, 69, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away Thursday December 29, 2011; he was the son of the late Louis and Pauline Pirinelli.

Louis was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and was a 1960 graduate of Niagara- Wheatfield High School. Louis began working at his father's service station, Pirinelli Amoco, which was located on Military Road and Packard Road in Niagara Falls, NY. For over 21 years, he worked for the Niagara Power Authority in Lewiston, NY, retiring as captain of the ice-breaker vessel. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time at home with his family, especially his grandchildren, and he will be missed by all.

Louis is survived by his wife, Janet Pirinelli; his children Christopher (Deborah) Pirinelli, James Pirinelli, Thomas Pirinelli, Jennifer (Brian) Gensler, and Dawn Pirinelli; grandchildren Jillian, James, Anthony, Maria, Nicholas, Jack, Austin, and Ryan; step-children Jennifer (Roger) Andrews and Justin (Melissa) Jasulavich; step-grandchildren Madison, Morgan, Bryce, and Brooklyn; two brothers Robert Pirinelli and Gary (Sharon) Pirinelli; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday 4 – 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY RD. NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to also attend a memorial service on Saturday January 7th, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Forestview Church of God, 1250 Saunders Settlement Rd., Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Ronald Maines, officiating. Flowers are graciously declined and memorials in Louis' honor be made to Forestview Church of God; or Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
