Louise M. "Weezie" McKie, 81, of the Tuscarora Nation, passed away on November 20, 2021 at OLP Nursing Care Facility in Lewiston, NY. Born on the Tuscarora Reservation, she was the daughter of the late Hattie (Bissell) Williams and the late Peter DiContie.  Louise was predeceased by her husband of 52 years William F. "Nick" McKie who passed away on October 11, 2021.

Weezie as she was affectionately known was educated at the Holy Angel Academy in Rochester, NY. In her younger years she worked at Triechler's Greenhouses in Sanborn, NY.  Louise was employed as a Custodian with the Niagara Wheatfield School District and retired after several years of service to the school system.

Louise was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who centered her life around her family and valued their precious time together. She was a member of the Tuscarora Beaver Clan and a foster parent to many children.  Louise enjoyed traveling and the pastime of going to the casino.  She will fondly be remembered as a loving lady always willing to help anyone in need.

Louise is survived by her children, Tina (Sam) Crogan, Sr. and Sandy (Sue) Pembleton; 6 grandchildren; Corrine (Joseph Anderson, Jr.) Crogan, Samuel (Lisa) Crogan, Jr., Marteen (Jimmy) Leon, Shayna (Wayne Harris III) Pembleton and Marie (Fred Taczak  Pembleton, 15 great grandchildren, Siblings; Doreen (late Filmore) Rickard and Jeannie (Harrison "Wimp" Printup) Crogan and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son, Wayne F. McKie; grandson, Brett McKie; siblings, late Margaret (late Kenneth) Rickard and late Marlene Prescott.

Visitation will be held on Monday November 22 from 4 - 7 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday from 11 AM – 1PM at the Tuscarora Indian Mission, 5035 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY 14132, where Louise's funeral services will begin at 1 PM.  Interment will follow in Mt.
