LuAnn (Barone) Spurback, 55, of the Town of Wheatfield, NY passed away on Friday, October 9th at her residence, surrounded by her husband and beloved friend while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of Dr. Louis S. and June (Specht) Barone of Margate, FL.

Luann was a lifelong resident of the Town of Niagara, NY. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School and continued her education at Buffalo State College in Buffalo, NY where she earned a Bachelor's Degree. LuAnn was employed as a dental hygienist at Dental Care Associates in Niagara Falls, NY. On July 23, 2005 she married David G. Spurback in Niagara Falls. She loved nature and wildlife, especially birds. She also enjoyed baking. LuAnn touched the lives of her family and many friends and will be greatly missed by all.

In addition to her husband and parents, LuAnn is survived by two children Ryan Gaines of Cheektowaga, NY; Shari (John Helms) Gaines of Niagara Falls, NY and one stepson Andrew (Teresa) Spurback of Niagara Falls, NY. She is also survived by five brothers David John (Terie Painchaud) Barone of Niagara Falls, NY, Richard Louis Barone of Margate, FL, Samuel Paul (fiancé Donna Slater) Barone of West Seneca, NY, Christopher Paul (Patricia Panfili) Barone of Wheatfield, NY and Joel Scott Barone of Kenmore, NY, her mother-in-law June (late Alfred) Spurback of Niagara Falls, NY, her aunts and uncles Raymond (late Joyce) Specht of Rochester, NY, Marianne (Ronald) Harkins of Amherst, NY, godparents Vincenetta and Harold 'Jim' McCoy; and her beloved friend Michelle Parker, as well as several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 13th from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 P.M. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will follow at 8:00 P.M. with Rev. Sandra J. Palmer officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
