Lucia Faiola, 89, of Niagara Falls passed away peacefully on Friday, January 21st, 2022. She was born in Sperlonga, Province of Latina, Italy to Giuseppe and Leontina Trani. Lucia and her husband, Vittorio, and daughters immigrated to Niagara Falls, New York on April 16th, 1970. There they started their new life together, reuniting with Vittorio's brother Leone (Ilda) Faiola and family.

Lucia was a devout Catholic and a long-time parishioner of St. Joseph's Church. In her younger years, Lucia spent her time doing what she loved most, caring for her children, and later on, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sunday morning gatherings in her kitchen meant the world to her and she treasured each moment with her family. Her passions included cooking, sewing, and crocheting blankets that now each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren will cherish forever.

Lucia is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Vittorio, two daughters Flora (late Anthony) Colangelo and Josephine (Leonard) ModicaAmore. By her grandchildren Joseph (Liz) Colangelo, Christina (Anthony) Scarpace, Julia (Jeffrey) Meyers, Nicholas Colangelo, Laura (Matthew) Catanese, Thomas and Andrea ModicaAmore. She is survived by six great grandchildren, Giuliana, Santino, Gabriel, Sophia, Massimo, and Rafael. Lucia is also survived by her sister-in-laws Ilda (late Leone) Faiola, Irena (late Rudolph) Scarpelli, nieces Rosemarie (Doug) Kozar, Laura (Steve) Monahan, and Duana (John) Risio. She was predeceased by her nephew Vincenzo Faiola and siblings in Italy.

Lucia's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 26th at 12 Noon at Holy Family Parish, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.  Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Holy Family Parish.  Arrangements by M.J.
