Luella D. (Robbins) Kennedy, 74, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Tuesday March 9, 2010 at N. F. Memorial Medical Center in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Sherman, NY she was the daughter of the late Milford and Alice (Howard) Robbins.
Luella moved to the Niagara Falls area as a child with her family. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On June 2, 1956 she married Robert W. Kennedy in Niagara Falls. Mr. Kennedy predeceased her in 1997. During the late 1970's through the mid 1980's Luella was employed in the circulation and sales department of the Niagara Gazette and in the late 1980's she worked for Staff Builders in Niagara Falls. Luella was a member of the Red Hat Society, Socialites, the John Duke Center and Rainbow Club all in Niagara Falls, NY. She also served as a former deacon at First Presbyterian Church in Niagara Falls. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing Bingo and traveling.
Luella is survived by two children David Kennedy of Niagara Falls, NY and Diana (Randall) Aird of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada and was predeceased by one son Richard Kennedy. She is also survived by two grandsons John and Matthew Aird, one sister Marilyn (late Eugene) O'Reilly of Niagara Falls, NY, many dear friends and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by one brother Gerald (late Florence) Robbins.
Friends may call on Monday from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the M. J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where services will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. David Crapnell officiating. Interment in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
