Lunalba (Frattaroli) Pasquale, 94, of Maryland, NY, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, died Sunday morning, December 9, 2012 following a short stay at Fox Nursing Home in Oneonta, NY. Born in Prezza L'Aquila, Abruzzi, Italy she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Filomena (DiMeo) Frattaroli.

Lunalba came from a small town of approximately 3,000 people, where everyone knew each other and cared for each other and that bond did not cease even after immigrating to the United States. In September of 1959 she settled at Niagara Falls, NY, where she met new challenges of taking care of a family in a new land and trying to cope with a new language. She was a devoted housewife and an expert gardener, who managed to grow many fruits and vegetables in her small backyard along with beautiful roses and an assortment of other flowers.

Lunalba was married to Antonio Pasquale for sixty eight years, until his passing away in 2008. Mrs. Pasquale is survived by one son Ernest (Linda) Pasquale of Maryland, NY and was predeceased by her son Achille (Mildred of Buffalo, NY) Pasquale. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Lisa (Jeremiah) Moore, Christina (Vincent) Pelleriti, Lynn Pasquale and Lori Pasquale; three great-grandchildren Max Anthony Moore, Ava Marie Moore and Parker George Moore as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by two brothers and one sister Giovanni, Achille and Lucia.

Visitation will be on Friday from 6 – 9 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY RD. NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Saturday December 15th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Vincent De Paul Parish at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
