Obituary

Mae L. Jackson, 63, of Youngstown, NY, passed away on June 28, 2021 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY.  Born in St. Anthony, Newfoundland, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Agnes (Hurley) Reardon.

Mae was trained as a Registered Nurse in Canada, and came to the area in 1994.  On August 26, 1994, she married Wayne E. Jackson.  Mae was employed locally as a Registered Nurse at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY and most recently, Newfane Rehabilitation in Newfane, NY.

Mae enjoyed watching Old Western movies, and was a big fan of John Wayne.  She also enjoyed Country Music, TV Talent Shows, Game Shows, Reality Shows, Cats & Dogs, & her Husband's Tropical Fish Tanks.  Mae liked to garden, and was very interested in Politics & Worldwide Current Events.

As a Surgical Operating Room Registered Nurse & Former Manager of a Busy Hospital Operation Room Department, she intensely cared for all humanity!

In addition to her husband of 26 years, Mae is survived by her step-children, Umar Jackson, Hakeem Jackson, Mikal Jackson, Jalal Jackson, Jenny Ann Hunt, and Dawan Turner; her granddaughter, Mia McAllister; her siblings, Herb (late Mary) Reardon, Ben (Imelda) Reardon, Ida (John) Sexton, Louis (Norma) Reardon, and Eric (Eileen) Reardon, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her son, Wayne E. Jackson, II, and her sister, Mildred Sexton.
