Margaret 'Peggy' Borczynski, 76, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Gladish) Riggi; and the beloved wife of the late Ronald Borczynski, who she married on February 6, 1965.
Peggy, as she was affectionally known, moved to Amherst, NY with her family as a child and graduated from Sweet Home High School. In her early years, she worked at her family's business, the Blue Dolphin Motel and Green Haven Restaurant on Niagara Falls Boulevard.
Peggy and her husband, Ron, owned and operated the Country Squire Motel and Cabins, where she would later open her own beauty salon after obtaining her beauticians license.
Peggy took great pride in decorating her home, and enjoyed completing puzzles. She also loved spending time with her dog, Sparky, who will miss her dearly. Above all, Peggy centered her entire life around her cherished family.
In addition to her husband, Peggy was sadly predeceased by her daughter Lisa Ann Evrard.
Mrs. Borczynski is survived by her son, Leon (Sandy) Borczynski; her grandchildren, Matthew Evrard, Miranda Galligan (Joe) and Leon Borczynski; two sisters, Rose (late Armand) Valeri and Anna Mae (late Marvin) Teitelbaum, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Peggy was also the beloved sister-in-law of the late Carol (late Joseph) Pedini, Norma (Frank) Bellezza, Cynthia (late Frank) Fries, Elena (Richard) Vorwerk, late John (her special sister-in-law Linda) Borczynski, James (Sue) Borczynski, late Wayne (Ursula) Borczynski, and the late Frederick (Sharon) Borcynski.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 21 from 5 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Peggy's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 22 at 11:00 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial offerings may be made to a charity of one's choice. Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
