Margaret Bozigar, 101, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2024. Born in Olyphant, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Edith (Caines) Sheerer.
Margaret was raised in Olyphant where she graduated from high school. On September 2, 1952, she married her beloved husband, Edward Bozigar in Niagara Falls.
Margaret was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Niagara Falls and served as their Sunday School teacher for many years. She was also a longtime volunteer of HANCI, the LIFE Program, as well as the In As Much Group. In her free time, she enjoyed arts and crafts, making cakes and hosting rummage sales. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Joyce (Carmine) Filice and Elaine (Michael) McGrath; her grandchildren, Anthony (Debra) Colosi, Robert Colosi, Lisa (Raymond) Siuta, William (Alicia) Empson, Jennifer Shaughnessy and Valerie McGrath; 13 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Bessie Collins and Mary Dixon; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Edward and their daughter, Janet (Anthony) Colosi, and 16 siblings.
Private funeral services followed by interment in Acacia Park Cemetery, Tonawanda, NY will be held by Margaret's family. Memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice. Arrangements by M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel.
