Margaret F. (Facciuto) Destino of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019 in Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.  Born on February 8, 1927 in Seattle, Washington, daughter of Canio and Mary Facciuto.

Margaret attended schools in Seattle and graduated from Foster High School. She married Nunzio J. Destino on June 1, 1946 and following their marriage, settled in Niagara Falls, NY and raised three children.   Mr. Destino predeceased Margaret on November 30, 2001.

Margaret was very active with the St. Francis Guild of St. Mary's Hospital where she volunteered for over thirty years. She also volunteered at Art-Park as an Usher and the Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University.  Margaret enjoyed golfing and gardening.

Mother of Donna (Fred) Williams, Daniel (Linda) Destino and the late David (Mary Costello) Destino; grandmother of Michael Williams, Mark (Kathy) Williams, Dena (Matthew) Nelbone, Daniel (Erin) Destino, Matthew (Pam) Destino and the late Michael Destino; great-grandmother of eight; sister of the late Rose (late Lloyd) Hetland, Anthony (late Rose) Faccuito, Jean (late Phillip) Angelastro and Mary (late Floyd) Gilbert. Margaret is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 4 – 6 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY RD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY.  Margaret's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church 620 Center St. Lewiston, NY. Everyone please assemble at church.  Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.   Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
