Margaret G. Maddalena, 83, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Monday January 2, 2012 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Leo and Constance (Plumeri) Faiola.

Margaret was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. In 1948 she married Victor J. Maddalena, Sr. at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Niagara Falls, NY. He predeceased her in 1979. During the mid 1970's Margaret was employed as a waitress at Howard Johnson's restaurant in Niagara Falls. Prior to that she worked at the former International Paper Mill on Buffalo Avenue and the former Around the Clock Restaurant both in Niagara Falls, NY. In her leisure time, Margaret enjoyed going to the Casino and Bingo.

Mrs. Maddalena is survived by five children Joseph Maddalena, Victor J. Maddalena, Jr., Leo Maddalena all of Niagara Falls, NY; Constance (late Dewey) Goetze of Lyndonville, NY and Deborah Dennis of Niagara Falls, NY; eight grandchildren Michelle, Christine, Victoria, Ryan, Alicia, Alexis, Marina and Michael, two sisters Irene Boesch of Indianapolis, IN and Patricia Hubbard of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Friday January 6th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay O.S.F.S officiating. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
