Maria E. Manuse, 90, of Youngstown, NY, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Seneca Healthcare Facility in West Seneca, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Rosina (Agulia) Battaglia.

Maria resided in Niagara Falls and later in Youngstown, NY. She graduated from Niagara Falls High School and Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing.

On June 4, 1960, Maria married Constantine "Connie" Manuse at St. Joseph Church. Mr. Manuse predeceased her on November 5, 2010.   Maria was a dedicated Registered Nurse and was the former Public Health Nurse in Niagara Falls, for many years. She was a board member of the HSA and also worked at the Youngstown Library. Maria enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting and cooking for her family, but above all she loved being a caregiver.

Maria is survived by her four children, Joseph (Katie) Manuse, Paul Manuse, Robert (Magda) Manuse and Elizabeth (Tom) Nowakowski; her grandchildren, Eva Rose, Miles, Isaac, Maia and Lilia; two sisters, Joann (late James) Fitzpatrick and Josephine (late Alan) Robley.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior visitation. Maria's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 8 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Bernard 's Church, 218 Hinman St. Youngstown, NY. Interment will be held on Saturday February 9 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph's Cemetery 3806 Pine Ave. Niagara Falls, NY. Memorials in Maria's honor may be sent to a charity of one's choice.
