Mariangela 'Angie' Agnello, 94, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on November 28, 2020 at Schoellkopf Health Center.  Born in Grotte, Sicily, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Giuseppa (Agnello) Licata.

On March 20, 1948, she married Anthony 'Tony' Agnello in Grotte, Sicily, Italy.  Mr. Agnello predeceased her on February 23, 2008 after 59 years of marriage.  Mr. and Mrs. Agnello came to Niagara Falls in 1955.  Angie was employed as a seamstress for over 30 years at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking, and especially cherished Sunday dinners with her family.

Mariangela is survived by her children, Joseph (Michele) Agnello, Vincent (Audrey) Agnello and Joanna (Zig) Kurpiewski; her grandchildren, Grace (Gaetano) ModicaAmore, Anthony (Tara) Agnello, Matthew (Ruchita) Agnello, Lauren Agnello, Andrea (Michael) Gerfin, Lisa (Rich) Karpie, and Sara Kurpiewski; her great-grandchildren, Thomas, Joseph, Rosanna, Michele, Nolan, Adam, Ava, Ella, and Xander; her nieces and nephews, Jean (late Patrick) Conte and Connie (late Joseph) Agnello, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins in the US and Italy.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Filippo (Giuseppina) Licata, Antonia (late Salvatore) Agnello and Stefano (Lorenza 'Lalla') Licata.

The family would like to thank the first floor staff of Schoellkopf Health Center for the kindness and compassionate care provided to Angie.

Mariangela's Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, December 4 at 10 AM at Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.  Everyone please assemble at the church.  Private entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the Schoellkopf Health Center, 621- Tenth Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14302.  Arrangements by M.J.
