Marie Joy Allen, 81, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on September 2, 2025 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Dunrobin, Manchester, Jamaica, she was the daughter of the late Ramsey and Elizabeth (Stone) Melborne.

Marie was raised in Jamaica and moved to Toronto, Canada in 1972. In 1977, she married the love of her life, Vivian Allen.

For many years, she worked as a dedicated nurse's aide at Branson Hospital in Toronto, where her compassion and care touched many lives.

In 2001, Marie and her family relocated to Atlanta, GA, and later settled in Niagara Falls, NY, where she had resided since 2007. She was a faithful member of the Potter's House Christian Church in Niagara Falls and found joy in singing, cooking, and spending time with her family. Marie had a heart of gold and a very warm personality that made everyone around her feel loved and welcomed.

Marie is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Vivian Allen; her son, Elton Allen; and her cherished grandchildren, Keyonah Allen and Ejae Allen. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Natalie Allen, in 2016, and her brother, Cecil Plummer.

She is also survived by her siblings, John Thompson and Una Girard; and her nieces and nephews, Maxine, Kirk, Oliver, Marcia, Latoya, and Felice.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Potter's House Christian Church, 723 7th Street, Niagara Falls, NY, where Homegoing Services will follow at 12:00 Noon.
