Maria Grazia "Marie" (Collura) Baldi, entered into her new life Saturday December 13, 2008 at Elderwood Health Care Center at Crestwood in Wheatfield, NY, after a long illness and one hour and thirty-four minutes prior to her 83rd birthday.

Born and educated in Buffalo, NY she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Angela (Gallo) Collura. On April 27, 1946 she married the "spark in her eyes since age 7", Michael F. Baldi, in Nativity of the B.V.M. Church in Buffalo, and would have celebrated sixty three years of marriage in April 2009. Marie will always be the twinkle in his eyes. They moved to Niagara Falls in 1961 and to Las Vegas, NV in 1982; returning to the Niagara Falls area in 2004. Marie worked in the housekeeping department at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY, but her most important role in life was taking care of her loving family. She was a member of the Present Day Mothers Club, and enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and loved to dance.

In addition to her beloved husband, Mrs. Baldi is survived by two daughters Kathleen (Richard) Lewis, Angeline (Lou) Curtis both of Niagara Falls, NY; one son Joseph Michael Baldi of Las Vegas, NV; seven grandchildren Michael Sawyer, Cory Sawyer, Lisa Sawyer, Rachael Rufrano, Ralph Michael Gephart, Ashley Baldi, Nicholas Ubaney; four great-grandchildren Gavin Zinz, Taylor Sawyer, Angelo Michael Rufrano, Brennen Gephart; two step-grandchildren Marla (John) Berry, Jason Lewis; one step-great-granddaughter, Marissa; sister-in-law "sister" Agnes Rotondi and family, sister-in-law Ida Baldi and family as well as many nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by two brothers Frank and Michael Collura and was the granddaughter of the late Michael and Lucille Gallo, and daughter-in-law of the late Joseph and Kathina Baldi.

Friends may call Tuesday December 16th from 4 – 7:30 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY RD. NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will immediately follow at 7:30 p.m with the Rev. James Fugle officiating. Memorials may be made to any St. Jude charity or organization.
