Marie A. (Valery) Calandrelli, 91, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Monday February 21, 2011 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Clara (Vogel) Valery.

Marie was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. In November 1941 she married Fred Calandrelli in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Calandrelli predeceased her in 2001. In her leisure time Marie enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles, bingo and playing solitaire. She also had a love for music and was a talented organ and piano player. Marie's greatest pleasure came from spending time with her family, particularly their Friday night gatherings at her home.

Mrs. Calandrelli is survived by three children, Barbara (late John D.) Marcolini of Wheatfield, NY; Fred (Gina) Calandrelli, Jr. and Eugene Calandrelli both of Niagara Falls, NY; five grandchildren, Susan (Chad Sydorowicz) Marcolini, John (Angela) Marcolini, Lisa (Eric) Rydzik, Bryan (Johanna) Calandrelli and Stefano Calandrelli; five great-grandchildren Colin, Ryan, Ava, Wyatt and Hunter, one brother John (Donna) Valery of Lockport, NY; one sister Rita (Don) Wilkinson of Youngstown, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Arthur Valery and William Valery and one sister Lucille Wyley.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held on Thursday February 24th at 11 a.m. Interment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
