Marie Colavecchia, 79, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 30, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Rotella) Palmeri.

Marie attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She was an excellent cook and an avid reader. She also enjoyed the decorating and preparing for the holidays. Above all, Marie especially enjoyed spending time with her beloved family.

Marie is survived by her two daughters, Coni (Paul) Ciffa and Cori (Jon) Gormley; her grandchildren, Joseph and Vincent Ciffa, and Marissa and Sean Gormley, along with her cherished great-grandchildren, Alexis and Anthony Ciffa; and her siblings, Phyllis Infantino, Jeanette (late Lee) Parsons. She was predeceased by three siblings, Ralph Palmeri, Stella Ciadella and Vincent Palmeri

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Northgate Health Care Facility, especially the staff on C-Unit for the excellent care and compassion given to Marie.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 4th from 4 – 8 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will begin on Wednesday at 9:15 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in St. John de LaSalle Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls.
