Marie A. Finley Cozzo, 88, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on October 3, 2020 at Mount St. Mary's Hospital.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late James Finley and Josephine (Bucciero) Finley Vaccarella, and step daughter of the late Salvatore 'Sam' Vaccarella. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, James Cozzo, who passed away on February 10, 2005.

Marie graduated from Niagara Falls High School Class of 1950 and Niagara University receiving a B.B.A. Degree and a Certification in Guidance and Education. She was employed as a School Teacher with the Niagara Falls Board of Education teaching business subjects at Gaskill Jr. High School and Niagara Falls High School from 1954 – 1987. She was an active Alumnus of the Niagara Falls High School class of 1950, member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Honorary Teachers Sorority and advisor and honorary member of the Zeta Tau Sorority.

Marie also served as a member of the Madonna DelPerpetuo Soccorso Society, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church's Legion of Mary and one of their Eucharistic Ministers to the homebound and a faithful volunteer at Our Lady of Peace Health Care Facility.

Marie is survived by her son, Joseph (Diane (nee Wolf) Cozzo; her grandchildren, Heather (Peter) Viccoria and Joshua James Cozzo; her great-grandchildren, Lindsey (James) Bucki, Jessica, Steven and Lucas Viccoria; sister Jeannine (late Vito) Fortunate; nieces, Joelle (LTC Benjamin) Croom and Jessica (James Sullivan) Fortunate; special great nephew Elias Croom, cousins and Godchildren who held a special place in her heart. Marie's family would also like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers Phyllis, Gina and Charmaine for their loving care and compassion.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th from 4-8 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304.  Marie's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:30 A.M. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish, Mt. Carmel Church Site, 27 ^th and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.  Please assemble at church.
