Marilyn J. DePetris, 94, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away in her sleep on November 16, 2020 at Schoellkopf Health Facility.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph R. and Helen V. (Robinette) Finelli.

Marilyn graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1944.  Immediately after graduating, she worked at Kimberly Clark as a Machine Operator, assisting in the wartime production efforts.  On February 14, 1948, Marilyn married John DePetris at Forest Avenue Church of God.  Mr. DePetris predeceased her on December 24, 2001.  In 1968, Marilyn began working as a Cafeteria Aide for the Niagara Falls Board of Education, working at LaSalle Junior High School until her retirement in 1991.

Marilyn was very devoted to her local church community as a member of Walnut Avenue Christian Church and, later, Forest Avenue Church of God.  She enjoyed cooking and baking.

Marilyn is survived by her son, John J. "Jack" (Sidney W. Binks) DePetris, her sister Joan M. (late Charles S.) Lewis, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, November 21 at M.J.
