Obituary

Marion (Antonacci) Bartley, 75, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, at Niagara Hospice House, surrounded by her beloved family. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, Marion was the cherished daughter of the late Mario and Theresa (Formica) Antonacci.

Marion graduated from Niagara Falls High School and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree Magna Cum Laude from Buffalo State College.

Marion's love of family and community began early, working alongside her family at the Como Restaurant.  Her passion for music blossomed into a lifelong career as a teacher, where she shared her gifts at Stella Niagara and through private lessons with countless students.  A phenomenal musician, she mastered the accordion, piano, violin, and guitar, bringing joy to all who heard her play and sing.  She was also a devoted member of several local church choirs, including St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY.  Beyond her musical talents, Marion was exceptionally skilled in arts and crafts, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her creativity and joy. She also had a passion and love for travel.

The Christmas season held a special place in Marion's heart.  She delighted children and adults alike by portraying Mrs. Claus at local schools, hospitals, and nursing homes, spreading cheer wherever she went.  An avid Beatles fan, Marion treasured the memories of seeing them live in concert twice, moments she considered blessings.

Marion's beautiful personality, outgoing nature, and heart of gold made her a friend to all.  She had a remarkable gift for connecting with people and was deeply devoted to her family, who were the center of her world.

Marion is survived by her siblings, Louis (Barbara) Antonacci, Frank (Joanna "Mickey") Antonacci, and Mario (Donna) Antonacci.  She was cherished by her nieces and nephews, April (Jeffery) Downey, Nicholas Antonacci (Kimberly Tiede), Angelo (Mary) Antonacci and Dawn Antonacci (Jamie Flores) - who cared for her with unwavering love.  She also leaves behind her godchildren and nieces and nephews that she helped raise as if they were her own: Ciara Downey, Aubree (Tristan) Diez, and Frank (Katie) Antonacci. To them, she was a guiding light, a source of comfort and joy, and a second mother.  Marion's love continues through her nieces – Alexa (Dan) Barrancotta, Alyssa (Martin) DeRosa, and– as well as her great-nieces Hayley Antonacci and Allison Antonacci, and her great-nephews Patrick Downey, Ayden Antonacci and Frankie Antonacci. Her legacy stretches even further through her great-great nieces–Ariana Barrancotta, Giana Barrancotta and Liliana Diez–who will grow up hearing stories of her kindness and gentle spirit. Marion is also survived by many cousins and countless friends.

The Antonacci family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff of Niagara Hospice House for the compassionate care, love, and support they provided to Marion.
