Marion L. (Rolfe) Torrie, 64 of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on March 24, 2017 at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Smith) Rolfe
Mary, as she was affectionately known to family and friends was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended Niagara Wheatfield schools. She was employed at Tim Hortons in Niagara Falls for many years. Mary had a love for crafts. She particularly enjoyed painting, antiques and woodworking, and participated in local craft shows throughout the area. Mary was also an accomplished bowler, and was one of the first women to bowl a 300 game in the Women's Sunday League at Frontier Lanes. Above all, she was devoted to her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her three children, Paula (David) Shufelt, Jr. of Lockport, Lyndie Torrie and Amy (Sherry) Torrie both of Niagara Falls, three grandchildren, Olivia, Madeline and Cassandra Gulla, her former husband of 28 years, Paul C. Torrie, one brother, Norman (Denise) Rolfe of Niagara Falls and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by brother, William Rolfe and a sister Agnes Goss.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 -6 P.M. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will follow at 6:00 P.M..
