Mark Robert DelGrosso, 49, of Grand Island, NY died on Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Born in North Tonawanda, NY he was the son of Nancy Courson of Niagara Falls, NY and the late Frank R. DelGrosso.
Mark graduated from North Tonawanda High School and in the mid 1980's, moved to California where he worked for Pittsburgh Paints in quality control and with Exxon Mobil Co. as a computer technician and a fireman. He was also a sound technician for Ice-T and a member of their backup band, Body Count. In the 1990's Mark returned to the Niagara Falls area and became employed as a computer analyst and manager at Gui's Lumber on Grand Island, NY. Mark enjoyed music and hosting backyard barbeques at his home.
Besides his mother, Mark is survived by his wife Catherine M. (Certo) DelGrosso of Grand Island, NY; one sister Laura (Steven) Petherbridge of Florida; four brothers Mark David (Carol Jean) DelGrosso of Lockport, NY; James (Patricia) DelGrosso of North Tonawanda, NY; Frank J. (Rosemary) DelGrosso and James Proefrock both of Niagara Falls, NY; two great aunts Mary (late Austin) Turner and Florence (late George) Courson; one uncle George (Dorothy) DelGrosso and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be on Saturday September 7th from 11 – 1 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY concluding with a memorial service at 1 p.m. with Deaconess Renae Kimble officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army, 7018 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
