Mark Phillips, 67, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Niagara Falls, Mark was the son of the late Wilber and Caroline (Swedenhjelm) Phillips.

A lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, he was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School and proudly served his country in the United States Navy until his honorable discharge in 1977.

On December 15, 2001, Mark married the love of his life, Sharon (Neiss) Phillips. They were truly one another's lifeline, sharing a bond that carried them through life's joys and challenges with strength, faith, and enduring love.

Mark dedicated more than 41 years to General Motors. He spent 34 years working on the assembly line before retiring as a forklift operator.

A proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous for more than four decades, Mark was deeply committed to helping others. He was highly respected within the recovery community for his mentorship, compassion, and willingness to give back. Through his guidance, encouragement, and example, he touched countless lives and helped many find hope and strength on their own journeys.

Mark and Sharon shared a special love for their Dobermans throughout the years. Most recently, their beloved Payne was a constant companion and faithful friend who will deeply miss Mark's presence.

In addition to his beloved wife, Sharon, Mark is survived by his sister, Lynn (Gerry) Hayes; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and many dear friends. Besides his parents, Mark was predeceased by two siblings.
