Marquetta Cook Bush, 59, of Arlington, VA passed away on, August 11, 2024. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Jesse Lee and Bernice (Bush) Cook.

Marquetta attended local schools and graduated from the former Niagara Falls High School and also received a Bachelor's Degree.   She worked for Hooker Chemical, Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center in payroll, and at Home Depot in the appliance department, all in Niagara Falls, NY.  She was currently employed at Harris Teeter Grocery in Arlington, VA.

Marquetta is survived by her children, Shaina Swanson, Kiyo'mami Aryra Purkett and Tamyja Paxton and her brother Antonio 'Tony' Cook, her aunt, Mary Richardson as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was predeceased by her grandparents, Lillie Mae and Otis Street and Willie and Cama Cook.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 26, from 10 – 12 PM at M.J COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304 where funeral services will begin at 12 PM.  Interment in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  Visit mjcoluccifuneral.com for online condolences.
