Martha Ward 85, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away Saturday February 5, 2011 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY. Martha was born and raised in Munich, Germany where she survived several raids and bombings during WWII. In 1947 she married her husband John Ward in Munich, Germany and together they moved to the city of Niagara Falls where she lived as a homemaker. Mr. Ward predeceased her in 1990.

Martha was an avid Yankees fan. She enjoyed watching the games on TV. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and watching them play sports.

Mrs. Ward is survived by her two sons and a daughter David (Laura) Ward of Niagara Falls, NY; John (Sharon) Ward of Columbus, Ohio and Lynda (Tony) Schober of Texas, and was predeceased by a son Paul Ward. She is also survived by six grandchildren Victoria, Shawn, Tony, Michael, Jonathan and Kelsey, and six great grandchildren.

There will be no prior visitation. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday February 9, 2011 at 11:00am at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY with the Rev. Mathew Sorenson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
