Mary A. Lozinsky, 92, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on April 12, 2026, at home under the care of her daughter Lisa and Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Matteo and Concetta (Mongelluzo) Yorio.
Mary graduated from Niagara Falls High School and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Niagara University. On August 30, 1952, she married John P. Lozinsky, Jr. at Sacred Heart Church in Niagara Falls. They shared 61 years of marriage before his passing on June 3, 2014.
Mary was employed as the Office Manager for the Niagara Falls office of Ferguson Electric Construction Company for 30 years, retiring in 1995. In 1996, she became the Manager of the Jackson Hewitt Tax Office in Niagara Falls, where she worked until retiring in 2009. She was a member of the Buff Social Club and the ISDA Power City Lodge. Mary loved playing cards, especially Euchre and Poker, and above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family.
Mary is survived by her children, John (Patricia) Lozinsky, Bryan (Connie) Lozinsky, Connie (Kevin McDonald) Lozinsky, Steven (late Kathy) Lozinsky, and Lisa (late William) Jones; her grandchildren, Nathan (Christina) Lozinsky, Jeremy (Leslie Tyson) Lozinsky, Jeremy McNally, Kristin (Phil) Smith, Kacy (Shawn) Reese, Kody (Erika) Lozinsky, Joseph (Haley) Cappellano, and Nicolas Cappellano; and her great grandchildren, Ethan, Caden, Livia, Conor, Charlotte, Sophie, Olivia, and Lucy. She is also survived by her sisters, Rita (late William) Favero and Louise (late George) McMahon, as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her husband, Mary was predeceased by her son, Thomas Lozinsky, and her siblings, Rosemarie Yorio, Louis Yorio, Josephine (late Woodrow) Tweed, and Norma (late Salvatore) Ruggiero.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15, from 2 PM – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin on Thursday, April 16, at 9:30 AM, followed by Mary’s Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Leo’s Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Interment will follow in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice at www.niagarahospice.org.
