Mary A. (Pugliese) Bellavia, 90 of Elderwood Health Care at Crestwood in Wheatfield, NY passed away on Sunday December 19, 2010. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Frank and Maria (Palermo) Pugliese.
Mary was employed by the Niagara Falls Board of Education until her retirement. She was a devout member of St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls where she also served as a lector and member of their Senior Group and Altar and Rosary Society. Mary will be remembered by her family and friends for her sweet nature and untiring care for those she loved.

Mrs. Bellavia was predeceased by her husband Samuel J. Bellavia Sr. She is survived by her children, Janet Curry, Judith (late Thomas) Hurley both of Buffalo, NY, Samuel J. (Carol) Bellavia Jr. of the Villages, Florida and James (Lenora) Bellavia of Niagara Falls, NY, grandchildren, Robin (Mark) Drewiega, Kelly Curry, Michael (Tracy) Hurley, Samuel Hurley, Cara Hurley, Jack Santoro, Karen Bellavia and Matthew Bellavia, and great-grandchildren, Brook and Katrina Drewiega, Emily Southerland, Anna Rose , Leah and Colin Hurley. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Joseph Bellavia and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by her great-granddaughter Mia Rose Hurley, her brothers and sisters, Nicholas (Concetta) Pugliese, Joseph Pugliese, Phillip Pugliese, Carl (late Isabel) Pugliese, Samuel (Rita) Pugliese, Theresa (late Charles) Shiah, Lucy (late Tony) DePetris, Rose Pugliese and Josephine (late Charles) Bellavia.

Visitation will be held on Monday December 27th from 5-8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI AND SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday December 28th at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church 1413 Pine Ave. Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay O.S.F.S. officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment will be held in Las Vegas, NV. Flowers are graciously declined.
