Mary J. (Sirianni) Brode, 104, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2026, at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility.Born in Niagara Falls on January 14, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Gloria (Tavano) Sirianni. 

A lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, Mary graduated from Trott Vocational High School in 1940 and went on to work for 30 years at Temptations Candy Store on Pine Avenue, where she became a familiar and friendly face to generations of customers.  Mary was a devoted member of St. Joseph Church for many years and found great joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved crocheting, reading, working crossword puzzles, and listening to Big Band music. 

Known for her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor, Mary brought laughter and warmth to those around her.  Above all else, she cherished her family and took great pride in her role as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the 1st Floor at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility for the compassionate care shown to Mary during her time there.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda M. Brode; her granddaughter, Cara (John) Rich; her great-grandchildren, Aryanna Rich, Carter Rich, Elijah Carter, and Kyrie Kelly; her brother, Joseph (late Louise) Sirianni; her sister, Rose (late Peter) Crisante; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband, John K. Brode; her son, David J. Brode; and her siblings, Dominic Sirianni, Tina (late Albert) Delgrolice, Anthony "Tony" (late Georgette) Sirianni, Gloria "LuLu" (late Mario) Capilupi, and Arthur (late Terri) Sirianni.

There will be no prior visitation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church on a future date to be announced. Private interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY, will be held at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to St. Joseph Church, c/o Niagara Falls Catholic Family Central Office, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.  Arrangements by M.J.
