Mary (LaVelle) Bush, 100, of Grand Island, NY, and formerly of Youngstown, NY, passed away on May 28, 2021. Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Timothy and Irene LaVelle.

On May 24, 1941, she married her beloved husband, Art Bush in Buffalo. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the 7th Commander Army Corp. in Stuttgart, Germany, while Art was serving in the United States Army as well as a member of The Niagara Alliance for the Mentally Ill . She was also an avid baker, most notably for her banana cake. Above all, she loved spending time with family and friends and telling stories. She will be greatly remembered for her tender loving ways, as well as her unforgettable laugh.

Mary was predeceased by her husband in 2000. She is survived by her children, Stephen "Tim" (Sandra) Bush, Mary Colleen (Daniel) Kelly, Claire Bush and was predeceased by two sons, Michael Bush and Gary A. (late Joanne) Bush. She is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and one brother, Donald (late Doreen) LaVelle, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Dale (Joan) LaVelle, Gene LaVelle, Bernadette "Bootsie" (late Jack) Taylor, and Gloria (late Leo) Guhin.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 2 from 4 – 7 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Mary's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. in St. Bernard's Church, 218 Hinman Road, Youngstown, NY. Interment in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
