Obituary

Mary Rose Casero, 67, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Alphonso and Catherine (Colosi) DiMino.

A lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, Mary Rose was a member of the first graduating class at Niagara Catholic High School. She was an integral part of the family business, DiMino's Lewiston Tops, serving as co-owner for many years. She took deep pride in building lasting bonds between the store and the community through generous contributions and outreach.

Known affectionately as the former queen of too many places to count, Mary Rose was a social butterfly with wings of wit and a heart of gold. She had a knack for telling it like it is, whether you asked for it or not, and could command a room with her signature blend of charm and unapologetic honesty. Mary Rose was a passionate fan of the New England Patriots and New York Mets, and she never hesitated to speak her mind if you were wearing anything from a rival team.

Mary Rose had a passion for collecting hand-painted Christmas ornaments, Lucille Ball memorabilia, and all things Snow White. Her greatest joy came from her family, especially her grandchildren. Above all, Mary Rose lived her life with deep selflessness, always putting others before herself and offering a helping hand or support whenever it was needed.

She is survived by her children, Gerald "Jerry" Casero Jr., Catherine (Jonathan) Casero-Hoerner, and Nicole (fiancé Bryon Paynter) Casero and was predeceased by her firstborn, Michael (fiancé Melissa Driscoll) Casero, who predeceased her in 2023. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Chase Hoerner, Gwendolyn Casero, Rosalie Hoerner, Jocelyn Casero, and Madison Paynter; her cherished siblings, Anthony (Barbara) DiMino and Anne Marie (Steven) Hepfer, her former husband, Gerald "Jerry" Casero Sr., along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
