Mary Ann (Maglio) Coté, 85, passed away on May 24, 2019 at Beechwood in Getzville, N.Y. Born in Niagara Falls, N.Y. on September 19, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Gaetano "Guy" and Rose (Lore) Maglio.
Mary Ann was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, N.Y., attending local schools and graduating from Niagara Falls High School in 1951. She was employed with Moore Business Forms in Niagara Falls and retired in 1991. Mary Ann was of member of St. Mary's of the Cataract Catholic Church and enjoyed being a member of their choir for many years.
Mary Ann also enjoyed many years as a member of the Niagara Frontier Fiddle Club along with her husband Joseph "Al" Coté who passed away in 2014. They both sang in the group as Al played guitar and Mary Ann played the washboard. It was one of their favorite pastimes. She was also the family cookie maker of all the Italian specialties for all holidays and family gatherings. Most of all Mary Ann enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Mary Ann is survived by her 4 children, Joel (Mary Jo) Neri, Guy (Cindy) Neri, Rosanne (Mark) Scott and Mark (Cindy) Neri; 4 grandchildren, Alyssa (Matthew) Brincka, Alex Neri, Stacey Neri and Nicole Neri; 1 great granddaughter, Nora Brincka, 1 brother, Anthony (Shirley) Maglio; 1 sister Patricia Tingue and predeceased by 1 brother Michael (Lorraine) Maglio; also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, MaryAnn (Neri) ( late Joseph) Long, John (Sharon) Neri and Lionel Cote' as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. MaryAnn was also predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Neri; stepson Andrew A. Cote' and brother-in-law, Daniel Neri.
There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend Mary Ann's Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, June 10 th. 2019 at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 259-4 th Street, Niagara Falls, N.Y. 14303. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, N.Y. at the family's convenience.
