IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary S.
D'Anna
September 1, 2020
Mary S. (Caridi) D'Anna, 83 of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on, September 1, 2020 at her home in the presence of her loving family. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine (LaFace) Caridi.
Mary was a lifelong loving servant to all who knew her. Her devotion to the family unit was unrivaled. From the family to the smallest of detail, Mary always ensured the happiness of all others before her own desires. Always with a smile and sense of compassion for anyone she may have touched along the way. From the preparation of elaborate holiday feasts for the entire family and friends to the untold numbers of classic homemade Italian cookies and breads, to the meals for the pop-warner football teams, to the clergy of the churches for which she served, to the mentoring and guidance of her cheerleaders for NFHS, to the unrelenting work ethic with those in restaurant and catering community, Mary was an unstoppable force who led by the simple philosophy of exemplary service to others. Her stunning beauty enabled her to model from her teenage years for the John Robert Powers Agency through well into her late 50's, carrying herself with grace, style and elegance as she strolled the runways year over year.
Mary is survived by her husband of 64 years John P. D'Anna, their three sons John A. D'Anna (Kathleen) of Annandale, NJ, Russell J. D'Anna (Mary Ann) of Webster, NY and Steven A. D'Anna (Nicole) of Honeoye Falls, NY. Nine grandchildren, Nicholas B. D'Anna (Sheena), Robert Burns, John N. D'Anna (Hillary), James R. D'Anna, Joseph A. D'Anna, Stefan Brundage, Antonino D'Anna, Giovanni D'Anna, Isabella D'Anna and Marlayna D'Anna. One great grandchild, Kaia Rose D'Anna, her brother Anthony D. Caridi (Diane) of Houston TX, sisters, Santina Caridi Becker of Woodland Hills, CA and Catherine Caridi Catalano (Don) of Reno, NV. She is also survived by numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins.
