Mary F. (Pisani) DeTroia, 85 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Friday December 25, 2009 at Northgate Health Care Facility in Wheatfield, NY. Born in Galeton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Pisani and Antoinette (Mallizo) Cipparone, and step-daughter of the late Michael Cipparone.

Mary came to the Niagara Falls, NY area as a young child with her family and attended local schools. On June 27, 1942, she married Arthur P. DeTroia in St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. DeTroia predeceased her on August 16, 2002. Mary enjoyed traveling with her family. She also took great pleasure in cooking, baking, crocheting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. DeTroia is survived by her three daughters, Joyce (Charles) Ferraro of Los Angeles, CA, Barbara (David) Jordan of Nokomis, FL and Antoinette (George) Riscile of North Tonawanda, NY, four grandchildren, Lisa (Darian) Smith, Nicole (Jeffrey) Mendelsohn, Justin (Jocelyn) Jordan and Todd Riscile, three great-grandchildren, Skylar Fleck, Parker Mendelsohn and Tabor Jordan, two sisters, Theresa (late Albert) Paduano of Niagara Falls, NY and Angela Murphy of Grand Island, NY and several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Frank (late Gloria) Pisani and Thomas (Mary of Arizona) Cipparone.

Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON Funeral Chapel 468 19th Street Niagara Falls, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend at Mass of Christian on Tuesday December 29th at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Ave. Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay O.S.F.S. officiating. Entombment will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery Niagara Falls, NY. EVERYONE WILL ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Northgate Health Care Facility, 7264 Nash Road North Tonawanda, NY 14120.
