Mary A. 'Maria' (Alaimo) Hill 97 formerly of Lewiston, NY passed away on June 30, 2018 at Brothers of Mercy Nursing Care Facility.  Born March 5, 1921 in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Augustino 'Gus' and Josephine (Vilardo) Alaimo.

Mary was raised and educated in Niagara Falls.  She graduated from Niagara Falls High School and afterwards earned her Registered Nursing degree from Edward J. Meyer Memorial Hospital.  On November 25, 1944 she married Arthur E. Hill at Niagara University Chapel.  Mr. Hill predeceased her on June 29, 2010.  For over thirty years, Mary worked as a Registered Nurse at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.  Following her retirement, she also worked as a plant nurse for Occidental Chemical Company. Mary was very active in local civic organizations.  She served as past president of Lewiston #1 Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, was a member of the Lewiston Art Association, Lewiston Red Hatters, Lewiston Business and Professional Association, the Thursday Nighter's and Hamburg Armor Senior Citizen Association.  In her leisure time Mary also enjoyed bowling, arts and crafts, oil painting, sewing and making porcelain dolls for her grandchildren. Mrs. Hill is survived by her two daughters, Beverly (Gene) Renzoni, Sharon Lee Hill, and was predeceased by a son Richard Hill.  She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by one granddaughter, Sara Hill and two sisters, Sarah 'Rose' (late Nick) Yacobucci and Florence (late Leo) Racine.

Visitation will be held on Saturday July 7 ^th from 9:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.  at M.J.
