Mary O. (Onopuk) Letty, 80, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Thursday June 10, 2010 at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Mark Onopuk and Vera (Grygoruk) Chiz and step daughter of the late Michael Chiz.

Mary was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. On January 30, 1954 she married John A. Letty in Niagara Falls, NY. She was employed as an office manager at the former Hens and Kelly Department Store in Niagara Falls. Mary was an active member and traveled with several local
Senior clubs including, the 50 Plus Club, Reunited Seniors, Holy Trinity Church Seniors, Mt. Carmel Church Seniors, St. George's Church Seniors, and was a member of the Echota Club and Women of the Moose Club. Mary was also a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church in Niagara Falls. In her leisure time she enjoyed playing cards, dominos, going shopping and movies. Mary's greatest pleasure was spending time with her family, particularly grandchildren.

In addition to her husband of fifty six years, Mary is survived by five children, Dale L. O'Toole, Karen M. (late William) Ferritto, Mark J. (Robin) Letty all of Niagara Falls, NY; Janice M. (Mike) Paternostro of Grand Island, NY and Doreen E. Letty, Esq. of Williamsville, NY, and twelve grandchildren, Allison, Robert, Breanna, Bryan, Jason, Ryan, Sean, Michelle, Deanna, Jenna, Michael and Katya.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 7 – 9 p.m. and on Monday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Tuesday June 15th at 10:30 a.m. in Saints Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, 45 Ideal Street, Buffalo, NY with Fr. Stephen J. Janos officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment in Riverdale Cemetery Lewiston, NY.
